Gina Farago spent the majority of her childhood in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the setting for her debut novel, Ivy Cole and the Moon. She began writing at an early age, contributing feature articles from her elementary school to the local newspaper. Farago graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication. She has written freelance articles for newspapers and magazines, and, after working as a copy editor for eight years, has become a full-time author. Farago lives with her husband, Karl, and their “children”—a Belgian Malinois and a poodle. They all share a horse farm in Greensboro, NC, and, on occasion, enjoy howling at the moon.
